Chiropractic Care (Allied Therapy and Rehab)
Chiropractors and Good Health
Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, our chiropractic clinic, Allied Therapy and Rehab, emphasizes the importance of improving your health to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Our chiropractors provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments utilizing “state of the art” chiropractic techniques. Our chiropractors also offer a unique way to provide pain relief for many types of pain and conditions, including back pain, neck pain and more!
Chiropractic care under a trained professional chiropractor can even be used to prevent injuries and help you achieve total health or wellness. People around the world are recognizing the benefit of seeking an alternative to traditional medicine, one that will help them achieve and maintain optimal health without requiring invasive treatments such as surgery.
Take the time to meet our chiropractors and our network of wellness care professionals dedicated to helping you achieve your wellness objectives. As chiropractors who care about utilizing the most advanced chiropractic techniques, Dr. Carline Vilfort and Dr. Michel Ritchie has years of training, expertise and experience in helping patients get pain relief for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other related conditions originating from the spine. Our chiropractors operate with three general phases of chiropractic care, which are:
Phase 1: Relief Care
Our objective at this first phase is to reduce your pain and help you start feeling better as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition that is causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2 to 3 times per week for 4 to 12 weeks. Remember that pain usually is an indicator of poor health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
During this corrective phase, your muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which will prevent further injury or pain. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100 percent functioning. It is typical for patients to need chiropractic care or adjustments 4 to 8 times per month for 6 to 24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem. In order to prevent a rapid recurrence of symptoms, it is necessary to continue receiving care even though your symptoms are gone.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.
At Allied Therapy and rehab, we teach our patients how to perform special “blueprint” exercises which can help strengthen and correct the irregularities in their body which may be causing pain. Many of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan. In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place. Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. In each case, targeted corrective exercises and stretches from our experienced chiropractors will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.
